Central Retail donates 70,000 medical masks, 9,000 plexiglass masks to frontline Covid-19 workers

Central Retail in Viet Nam donated 35,000 medial masks and 4,500 plexiglass masks each to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi and the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in HCM City to assist frontline health workers working around the clock to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Nguyen Thi Phuong, deputy CEO of Central Retail in Viet Nam, said: “We understand that the safety of the frontline healthcare workers is of utmost importance in the fight against COVID-19, especially during this critical time.

“We hope the protective masks keep our frontline health workers safe at work. The donation is a token of appreciation for the Vietnamese Government leaders, local authorities, medical staffs, and voluntary forces who are working … to keep the disease at bay.”

Central Retail had earlier donated four negative pressure isolation rooms worth VND2 billion (US$85,282) to support the treatment of patients, two to Can Gio Hospital in HCM City and one each to the Ha Dong General Hospital and Bac Thang Long Hospital in Ha Noi. — VNS
