Franck Rodriguez has been named general manager of the Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne, which is set to open in the third quarter of this year.
The Frenchman with more than 20 years of experience in the hotel industry has worked for some of hospitality’s biggest names like Leading Hotels of the World (LHW), InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. He spent a formative part of his career as the food & beverage manager of Centara Villas Samui.
Rodriguez is now spearheading the launch of Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne, only the second world-wide after the popular Lost World-themed Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya, Thailand.
It will also mark the arrival of Centara Hotels & Resorts in Viet Nam.
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome Franck back to the Centara family,” David Good, executive vice president – hotel operations, Centara Hotels & Resorts, said.
“His credentials speak for themselves; more than two decades of experience, almost all of which has been spent in Asia, a history of notable hotel openings and a proven track record of success.”
Situated in Hom Rom Bay, just a few hours’ drive from HCM City, Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne will have a water park complete with pools, slides, a sailing ship, lazy river, splash zone, and cliff-jumping rock.
It will also have 984 rooms and pool villas, six restaurants, six bars, playgrounds, an entertainment complex, a family lounge, SPA Cenvaree and the world’s first Spa Candy, a sweet wellness centre designed specifically for kids. — VNS
