California Fitness & Yoga, part of FLG Vietnam, on Wednesday announced plans for a world record attempt that could change 20,000 lives in Việt Nam.

The attempt, sanctioned by the Guinness World Records organisation, will involve people who have undergone a transformation to submit ‘before and after’ photos of themselves to support those who are currently on a similar journey.

All applicants will get a certificate of participation and an invitation to join the California transformation challenge programmes that will run until the end of June.

The annual programme, usually paid, is being offered for free in a simplified format, which includes access to the gym for two months plus 16 group sessions with physical trainers also for free to help world record applicants change accelerate their results.

“Our company mission is to democratise preventative healthcare, making it just as widely available as responsive healthcare,” Dane Fort, chief executive officer of FLG Group, said.

On the same day the company also introduced its LivWell app, which gamifies daily fitness habits by offering incentives for healthy behaviours and provides free streaming fitness content. — VNS
