One hundred water-heating systems have been installed in remote regions across the country by Ariston Viet Nam as part of a corporate social responsibility campaign.
The campaign prioritised underprivileged communities living in isolated regions including Hoang Su Phi, Ea Sup and Cu Lao Xanh communes, which often face extreme hardship either caused by poverty or natural disasters.
The first trip to Hoang Su Phi was in October right before northern bitter winter, with the second in the Central Highlands in November before the flood season. The third trip took place in Cu Lao Xanh, an island district in central Binh Dinh Province, where hot water had not been available to residents. The campaign also provided the island with financial support to rebuild after it was hit by numerous storms this year.
The campaign sought to bring hot water to regions with the most adverse weather conditions to support local residents, said a company representative. — VNS
