VINH LONG (Biz Hub)– Dutch firm De Heus Branch Co on Wednesday put into operation an aqua feed plant in the Hoa Phu Industrial Zone in southern Vinh Long Province.

Covering an area of 3ha, the US$7.5 million plant has a designed production capacity of 100,000 tonnes of aqua feed a year, and will provide aqua feed for northern provinces and the southeast region as well as for export.

By 2015, the company will inject an additional investment of $5 million to raise the plant's production capacity to 200,000 tonnes per year.

The Hoa Phu Industrial Zone now has four aquaculture feed plants with a total capacity of 5,000 tonnes per month. — VNS
