An Trung Industries on Friday signed an agreement to supply plastic spare parts for printer production of Brother Industries Viet Nam Company Limited.
An Trung Industries, a member of An Phat Holdings Group, will become the tier-1 supplier for the multinational group from Japan specialising in printer, fax, scanner, label printer, industrial sewing machines and household sewing machines.
The spare parts will be used in Brother’s printers with capacity of 25,000 products per month to bring top quality 'made in Viet Nam' products to customers worldwide.
Earlier, An Trung Industries invested an additional VND200 billion (US$8.6 million) into its plant with modern machines, renewing technologies and improving human resource to meet the strict requirements of Brother.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Man Chi Trung, general director of An Trung Industries, said they had to complete the process of design, building workshops, investing in machines, employing and training staff, as well as satisfy key criteria such as quality, price and delivery time to be chosen as the supplier.
Dinh Xuan Cuong, general director of An Phat Holdings Group, said with strict requirements, the support industry has been tough to crack for many Vietnamese companies.
“However, we are ready to become the leading supplier in the plastic support industry in Viet Nam,” he said.
Kimura Tadashi, general director of Brother Industries Viet Nam Company, said accuracy and technology are the most important factors in the plastic moulding industry. They highly valued efforts of An Trung Industries.
In April, An Trung Industries become the tier-2 supplier of Samsung Viet Nam. — VNS
