Airbus has contributed medical equipment to Viet Nam as part of the “Breathe Again”, a campaign organised by the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham), in support of Viet Nam's fight against COVID-19.

Airbus Vietnam is providing Viet Nam with ICU respiratory ventilators, purified water generators for dialysis, patient parameter monitors and minimally invasive cardiac output monitors. The equipment has been sourced locally and will be distributed to hospitals that have been most hard-pressed for resources.

The donation was announced at an event at Bach Mai Hospital in Ha Noi on Wednesday.

"We hope that our contribution, via the EuroCham initiative, will help hospitals that continue to face challenges due to high case numbers," Anand Stanley, Airbus President Asia-Pacific said.

"Viet Nam has done so well in managing the pandemic since the outset and we hope that the current situation in the country will improve soon,” he added. — VNS
