Airbus has appointed Hoang Tri Mai as the new managing director of the firm in Viet Nam.

Mai succeeds Jean-Michel Caldagues, who will retire from Airbus at the end of 2021, following 21 years with the company.

In this role she will be responsible for overseeing all Airbus activities in the country, including support for sales and managing relationships with the government and industrial stakeholders, Airbus said in a statement.

Mai joins Airbus from Rolls-Royce, where she led operations as Country Head for Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia and the Philippines.

“Viet Nam is a key market for Airbus and across all areas of the business. In addition, we have several important industrial partnerships in the country. We look forward to Mai developing our strong presence, working closely with our customers, partners and other stakeholders,” Anand Stanley, President of Airbus Asia-Pacific, said. — VNS
