DA NANG (Biz Hub) — AccorHotels has announced the opening of Mercure Bana Hills French Village, a unique accommodation that sits 1,480m above sea level on Ba Na Hills.

Located 30min away from the central coastal city of Da Nang, the resort boasts unique French architecture and excellent views of the city and the mountain range from a single-wire cable car that has earned a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.

"We are delighted to open Mercure Bana Hills French Village, which overlooks the picturesque mountains and diverse eco-landscape of the popular tourist destination," Chief Operating Officer for AccorHotels Upper Southeast and Northeast Asia Patrick Basset said.

This is AccorHotels' first property in the mountains of central Viet Nam. It's also the fourth Mercure property in the country following the successful openings of Mercure Hanoi La Gare, Mercure Hoi An and Mercure Phu Quoc Resort and Villas.

"A great new high-quality golf course at the foot of the mountains is sure to delight guests who enjoy the game," Basset said.

The hotel's architectural design was inspired by the quintessential villages of 19th-century France. It is also in the midst of an entertainment hub and is near a boutique mall. Its restaurants and bars offer a wide selection of international cuisine.

"Visitors to Bana Hills can look forward to beautiful views of the mountains and the scenic surroundings of the luxury resort. Located on a 6ha area filled with 20th century French-style castles and houses, Mercure Bana Hills offers an authentic experience for both business and leisure travellers. There are also spectacular views of Da Nang and the unique architecture in the area," Shane Edwards, general manager of the property, said.

Mercure Bana Hills French Village offers a range of recreational facilities, including a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a spa offering facials and massage treatments and an all-season indoor pool.
