HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — More than 5,000 photography enthusiasts in HCM City have submitted photos to the Canon PhotoMarathon 2015 contest.

Organised for the 10th time, the contest is open to anyone who wants to participate, regardless of age, education or occupation.

The prize of VND1.5 billion includes a trip to Japan, where the winner will compete with other regional countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Canon Marketing Viet Nam said the contest would be organised in Ha Noi on October 24.

The company said that all registration fees would be donated to a fund to build school classrooms in remote areas.

The Canon PhotoMarathon contest started in Singapore. In Viet Nam, the contest has received a total of 87,000 pictures and attracted 30,000 participants since it began 10 years ago. — VNS
