Saigon Co-op, the country’s leading retailer, on Friday opened a Co.opmart supermarket at My Loc Commune in Long An Province’s Can Giuoc District, its 104th outlet and third in the southern province.
The 4,000sq.m outlet stocks more than 30,000 items like fresh and processed foods, cosmetics, clothes and household utensils, 90 per cent of which are high-quality Vietnamese products.
On Thursday, Co.opmart Phan Ri Cua opened in Binh Thuan Province’s Tuy Phong District.
On Saturday, another store will be opened in Buon Ho Town, Dak Lak Province.
The three new stores cost about VND265 billion (US$11.37 million).
Like all other Co.opmart outlets, the new stores will sell price-stabilised goods and those with clear origins.
To mark its opening, they are offering discounts of up to 50 per cent on thousands of essential items and hundreds of attractive gifts.
Customers shopping for at least VND300,000 can win attractive lucky draw prizes like a Honda SH Mode 2018 scooter, Samsung refrigerators, TVs, 3D and others. — VNS
