BIDV, TienPhong boost co-operation

HÀ NỘI (Biz Hub)— The Bank for Investment and Development of Việt Nam (BIDV) and TienPhong Bank will boost comprehensive co-operation until 2015, under an agreement signed between the two parties in Hà Nội on Wednesday.

Areas of co-operation include capital sources, currency and gold trading, payment, cash management, retail banking, non-life insurance, information technology services and high-tech and support industries.

According to BIDV chairman Trần Bắc Hà, TienPhong had successfully restructured and had strategic shareholders who were strong enterprises, including DOJI, FPT, Vinare, VMS MobiFone and SBI Ven Holdings.

TienPhong Bank chairman Đỗ Minh Phú said the two sides undertook to create the best conditions for each other in gold bar transactions and related products and services. — VNS
