HA NOI (Biz Hub) ― The Bank for the Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV) earned nearly VND2 trillion (US$95.24 million) in net profits in the first half of the year, according to its newly released financial report.
On June 30, deposits at the bank reached about VND336 trillion ($16 billion), up 10.7 per cent over the end of last year, and lending reached roughly VND365 trillion ($17.38 billion), increasing 7.3 per cent.
At that moment, the bank's bad debts amounted to VND9.4 trillion ($447.6 million), equivalent to 2.57 per cent of its total outstanding loans. Total asset value was VND521.5 trillion ($24.8 billion), an increase of 7.6 per cent over the end of 2012. ― VNS
