HCM CITY — Kiki Auto, a Vietnamese-language voice assistant for cars powered by Zalo AI, has marked the milestone of one million installations four years after its rollout.

Kiki Auto has seen nearly 1,100 installations and uses on average every day in 2024, sometimes rising to 2,000.

Kiki Auto is praised by users and industry experts for its fast and accurate responses to commands related to music playback, navigation and in-car controls thanks to its advanced language comprehension and intelligent interaction.

Its seamless interaction with drivers has contributed to its rapid popularity in Việt Nam.

An upgrade to its speed warning feature is available for trial use until March 2025.

Speaking about this enhancement, Nguyễn Hoàng Khánh Duy, product manager at Zalo, said: “Leveraging our strengths in AI and intensive experience in developing products for Vietnamese users, the team has integrated complex data and signal processing algorithms to ensure accuracy and optimise user experience.”

The product development team would continue to upgrade this feature to help drivers stay steady on every journey, he promised.

Compared to the initial trial versions, the current release features improved accuracy and expanded speed data for inter-provincial roads.

Kiki Auto plans to develop more new features tailored for Vietnamese users.

It is also promoting collaboration with global brands to make an impact in the Vietnamese market, notably partnering with 25 companies in the smart screen sector such as Zestech, Gotech, Bravigo, Safeview, OledPro, Steelmate, and Teyes.

Recently the trial version was integrated into the BYD Atto 3 electric vehicle, enabling control over critical features such as turn on cameras, adjusting volume and rotating the physical display.

In 2025, it aims to expand its presence as a pre-installed assistant application in automobiles. — VNS
