Financed by South Korean CJ Vina Agri Viet Nam, the factory covers 7.5ha in Dong Van 2 Industrial Zone. It is expected to supply 330,000 tonnes of products each year.
In his speech at the ground-breaking ceremony, the provincial People's Committee vice chairman Vu Dai Thang spoke highly of the company's decision to develop the factory - the fifth of its kind in Viet Nam - in the locality.
Thang vowed that local authorities will create the most favourable conditions for the firm to implement its project as scheduled.
Over the past nine months, Ha Nam ranked sixth among the top 10 destinations for foreign investors in the country as it attracted more than $660 million in foreign direct investment. — VNS
