Trungnam Group put its wind power project No.5 Ninh Thuan into commercial operation in the south central province of Ninh Thuan on Tuesday.
The 46.2MW project, costing over VND1.6 trillion (US$69.5 million), comprises 11 turbines supplied by Germany’s Enercon company with an annual output of 136,281 MWh.
Connecting with the national grid, the project also has a transformer station with a 50 MVA transformer designed and manufactured by Germany’s SIEMENS.
Trungnam Group is carrying out a number of power projects in Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Tra Vinh and Ninh Thuan, which are expected to supply 10GW of electricity in total to the national grid when completed. — VNS
