HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Vietnamese companies in the cosmetics and personal care industry will have the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and network at COSMEX 2015, ASEAN's only exhibition on manufacturing technologies, packaging and ODM/OEM services for cosmetics, personal care and dietary supplement products.
COSMEX will be held in Bangkok from November 3 to 5 together with "in-cosmetics Asia", Asia's leading exhibition on personal care ingredients, enabling international visitors to both get an overview of the industry and information about individual aspects like new launches and technical innovations.
Business visitors can learn about various topics through an informational seminar and network regionally through a business matching activity, Suttisak Wilanan, deputy managing director of Reed Tradex Company, the event's organiser, told a press conference in HCM City on September 30.
Malinee Harnboonsong, director of the Thai consulate-general's commercial office in HCM City, said with increasing incomes, Vietnamese consumers prefer more sophisticated products and brand names.
"This is where Thai cosmetic and personal care products with high quality and reasonable prices are becoming more popular among Vietnamese consumers.
"Hence the need for collaboration and support between the two countries' manufacturers and traders is essential to boost this industry for mutual benefit."
Ketmanee Lertkitcha, president of the Thai Cosmetic Manufacturers Association, said Thai companies, with their advanced technologies and innovation in cosmetics and personal care manufacture, are willing to share their know-how with Vietnamese firms. — VNS
