Viet Nam Fashion Fair 2018 will open its doors on Thursday in the capital, showcasing apparel, leather, footwear, jewellery and beauty services.
The fair will feature more than 200 stalls on a 4,000sq.m site with the participation of nearly 150 businesses including some from Indonesia and South Korea, according to the Viet Nam Exhibition Fair Centre JSC (VEFAC), one of the event’s organisers.
Among the exhibitors are renowned domestic garment and textile businesses such as Viet Tien, Hanosimex, Duc Giang, Hoa Tho and Phong Phu.
The event will help meet rising domestic demand and boost exports, VEFAC said in a statement.
The nation’s major fashion brands will launch new products at the event as well as a series of the year’s largest promotions and discount programmes.
The fair will take place at the International Centre of Exhibition until next Tuesday.
Under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event is organised by the VEFAC, the Viet Nam Textile and Garment Group, the Viet Nam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association and the Viet Nam Textile and Apparel Association.
The previous event drew nearly 150 exhibitors and more than 10,000 visitors. — VNS
