HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The third Viet Nam International Travel Mart (VITM) will be held at the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Centre in the capital city's Giang Vo Street from April 3 to 6.

More than 650 businesses have registered to take part in the event that will have 496 stalls. Of these, more than 140 firms will come from 24 foreign countries and regions.

The organizer had announced that there would be as many as 8,000 promotional tours, offering discounts of between 20 and 50 per cent and some 600 free coupons for hotels and restaurants available at the event.

Twelve domestic and international airlines would also take part in the event, which is eight more than in 2014. The airlines plan to offer 15,000 tickets at promotional prices of VND190,000 for international routes and at VND330,000 for domestic flights.

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) will also participate in the event to support travel for visitors. It will cooperate with 13 leading tourism companies, as well as domestic and international tourism promotion coalitions, to offer all-in tours to domestic destinations, such as Ban Me Thuot, Chu Lai, Can Tho and Quy Nhon, and international tourist spots in Malaysia, Myanmar and China.

VNA will also hold a seminar, during which it will share information relevant to the collaboration among VNA, tourism companies and customers. — VNS
