Vietnam Food Industries Joint Stock Company (VIFON), a leading instant foods producer, targets exports of more than one billion items a year in the near future, its chairwoman has said.
Speaking at a ceremony to celebrate the company’s 60th anniversary in HCM City last week, Chairwoman Bùi Phương Mai said its products like noodles and seasonings are sold all over Việt Nam and in over 100 countries and territories, including demanding markets such as the US, Australia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the EU.
More than one billion items were exported in the past five years, with VIFON instant noodles holding the largest market share in Poland, the fifth most populous country in the EU.
Poland awarded the VIFON brand the prestigious Golden Consumer's Laurel award for 18 consecutive years, proof of the trust and appreciation of Polish consumers, and the brand also won the Vietnamese High-Quality Goods award for 27 consecutive years.
The company’s output and revenues increased by 135 per cent and 140 per cent, respectively, last year.
Going forward, Mai said in this era of global integration VIFON would leverage its product diversity, modern technology and healthy products to drive sustainable growth and maintain its brand and market positions.
It will focus on developing new projects to sustain long-term development, using digital technology, bio-technology and new materials in production, adopting advanced solutions for distribution of products and services in the domestic and international markets, she said.
