Viettel becomes OPPO's official distributor in Viet Nam


The Viettel Distribution Centre under the Viettel Import and Export One Member Limited Company has become an official distributor of Chinese OPPO mobile phones on the Vietnamese market.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Viettel Distribution Centre under the Viettel Import and Export One Member Limited Company has become an official distributor of Chinese OPPO mobile phones on the Vietnamese market.

It follows a strategic partnership agreement signed on Tuesday by the centre with the OPPO Science and Technology Limited Company.

At the moment, Viettel distributes six OPPO smartphone lines with a wide range of prices, from VND3.5 million-10 million (US$166-476) for one product.

A representative from Viettel Distribution said that besides the domestic market, the centre would bring the OPPO products to other markets in which Viettel has invested.

Do Quang Kha, sales director of OPPO Viet Nam, said that the centre would help OPPO approach many consumer market segments and diversify product distribution channels.

OPPO is an audio equipment and DVD players manufacturer in China. The company joined the mobile phone market in 2008.

Appearing on the Vietnamese market for the first time at the end of 2012, OPPO launched the Find 5 smartphone in April with a full HD screen and quad core chip, worth VND10 million.

Its latest smartphone, the N1 with rotating camera, may be released in Viet Nam at the end of October, with a price of more than VND10 million. — VNS
