Alibaba.com, a leading platform for global business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce, announced the 200 Vietnamese businesses selected for its 2025 Vietnam Pavilion on June 12.
HÀ NỘI — Alibaba.com, a leading platform for global business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce, has announced the 200 Vietnamese businesses selected for its 2025 Vietnam Pavilion on June 12.
The programme is a collaboration between Alibaba.com and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
The programme is designed to empower Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by granting them the "Featured Business” status on Alibaba.com, providing them with enhanced product visibility to reach global buyers.
The announcement was made at the 2025 Annual B2B Online Export Summit, co-hosted by Vietrade and Alibaba.com. The summit brought together industry experts, Việt Nam’s SMEs and Government officials to discuss innovative strategies and explore opportunities for advancing Việt Nam’s digital export landscape.
Vietrade Director Vũ Bá Phú said: “The Vietnam Pavilion programme, a collaborative effort between Vietrade and Alibaba.com, has emerged as a model for digital trade promotion in Việt Nam. It's more than just a digital storefront; it's a strategic, integrated trade promotion model tied to the national brand.
"The programme ensures transparent business selection and provides capacity-building, support and networking opportunities, from pre-transaction engagement to after-sales service.”
The selection process, conducted between December 13, 2024, and May 15, 2025, assessed businesses based on product quality, performance on Alibaba.com and export potential in key sectors such as agriculture, food and beverage, furniture, handicrafts, apparel and accessories.
Special emphasis was placed on supporting new entries, with less than three months of activity on Alibaba.com to integrate them early into the global digital economy.
Featured businesses will receive comprehensive support to enhance export performance, increase brand awareness and expand market reach. Selection by Vietrade and Alibaba.com elevates brand recognition and reputation among international buyers.
Additionally, the programme offers over 100 training sessions covering essential areas of e-commerce success, such as store optimisation, product development, digital advertising and cross-border logistics, equipping businesses with the tools necessary for sustainable growth in global markets.
Recent data from the last 30 days of the 2024 programme underscores its impact. Participating sellers experienced a 230 per cent increase in buyer inquiries compared to the platform average, highlighting strong demand for Vietnamese products and the programme's effectiveness in driving international sales.
Young Liu, head of Vietnam Business at Alibaba.com, stated: "The Vietnam Pavilion is not just a showcase of Vietnamese products — it's a gateway to global markets. With 200 featured businesses in 2025, we're doubling down on our commitment to digitalising Việt Nam's export sector and helping SMEs accelerate growth and establish a solid position in the global marketplace."
One of the featured businesses began as a small family-owned dried fruit and spice business in 2013 with just VNĐ4 million in start-up capital, and has now grown into an international F&B success story.
V.KAUS Co., Ltd., founded by Võ Thị Hoàng Vân, has leveraged Alibaba.com to transform its operations, achieving US$3.6 million in revenue within two years of joining, with $2.5 million from exports since 2024.
"We started with small, scattered orders, but with persistence and a clear strategy, we eventually secured multi-million-dollar export deals. Being part of the Vietnam Pavilion was pivotal, solidifying our brand and connecting us with long-term global clientele," said Vân.
Vân added that her company now aims to double its export revenue this year, while developing direct-to-consumer channels in key target markets. — VNS
