The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam on Wednesday allowed airlines to increase the frequency of domestic flights among Ha Noi, Da Nang and HCM City from April 16.
The allowance was given after Vietnamese airlines limited domestic flights from these major cities to other cities and provinces early this month to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines announced that it would run two return flights per day on the route between Ha Noi and HCM City as of April 16, doubling that of the first half of this month. Meanwhile, one return flight per day on the routes connecting Da Nang with Ha Noi and HCM City remains in place.
Budget carrier Jetstar Pacific, a member of Vietnam Airlines Corporation, also increased the flight frequency on the route between Ha Noi and HCM City to one return flight per day, instead of four flights per week last month.
Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific said they would seriously implement disinfection and cleaning of equipment right after each flight landing in Ha Noi, HCM City and Da Nang.
Meanwhile, budget carrier Vietjet Air increased frequency to two return flights per day between Ha Noi and HCM City and one return flight between Da Nang, Ha Noi and HCM City. — VNS
