Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific increased flights between Ha Noi, Da Nang and HCM City from April 16. The two carriers say they will seriously implement the disinfection and cleaning of equipment right after each flight landing in the three major cities, — Photo Vietnam Airlines.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam on Wednesday allowed airlines to increase the frequency of domestic flights among Ha Noi, Da Nang and HCM City from April 16.

The allowance was given after Vietnamese airlines limited domestic flights from these major cities to other cities and provinces early this month to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines announced that it would run two return flights per day on the route between Ha Noi and HCM City as of April 16, doubling that of the first half of this month. Meanwhile, one return flight per day on the routes connecting Da Nang with Ha Noi and HCM City remains in place.

Budget carrier Jetstar Pacific, a member of Vietnam Airlines Corporation, also increased the flight frequency on the route between Ha Noi and HCM City to one return flight per day, instead of four flights per week last month.
