Vinamilk topped the list of prestigious companies in the diary category, followed by TH Milk Joint Stock Company and Frieslandcampina Viet Nam.
In the group of sugar, confectionery and nutritious foods, the leading position belongs to Nestle Viet Nam, followed by Orion Vina Food Company Limited and Mondelez Kinh Do Viet Nam.
In the group of packaged foods, spices, cooking oil, Masan surpasses names like Acecook, Ajinomoto to take top spot.
For the fresh and frozen food industry, the leading positions belong to Vissan Joint Stock Company, C.P Viet Nam Corporation and Vinh Hoan Corporation respectively.
Regarding alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Vietnam Report also named Heineken Viet Nam and Sunstory Pepsi Viet Nam top of each list.
Vietnam Report stated that communication played an important role in connecting manufacturers and consumers directly, helping consumers recognise prestigious brands better when making shopping decisions.
However, the analysis results showed that the media presence of food and beverage businesses was still limited.
Only 49.7 per cent of businesses surveyed had the amount of information recognised, of which 52.1 per cent had the frequency of appearing at least once a month.
The majority of food and beverage businesses surveyed said that risks related to trademark and reputation would have a significant impact on business production and activities.
However most Vietnamese businesses were cautious about the media because of the lack of information control, the report said.
The report has been published annually since 2016 as an in-depth study of key sectors such as real estate, construction, insurance, pharmaceuticals, technology, food-beverage, retail, travel and logistics.
Companies are assessed and ranked based on three main criteria including financial capacity shown in the latest financial statements; media reputation which is assessed by media coding method and survey on consumers, experts and enterprises. — VNS
