The national carrier Vietnam Airlines has officially started accepting quick response (QR) code payments for its passengers from July 9.
The payment method is applied through domestic payment gate Napas on apps Momo e-wallet and Moca services and VNPay via Mobile Banking, Internet Banking and on its website www.vietnamairlines.com as well as ticket offices nationwide.
This feature is being used by many banks, to meet the needs of fast, convenient and secure payment. The biggest benefit of having a QR code feature for customers is that they do not need to use cash or bank cards. Customers can make payments on Vietnam Airlines’ website anytime, anywhere with just a smartphone. This simplifies operations as well as enhances security as customers’ account information is encrypted, and they do not have to provide any information about the bank card.
Early in June, when making reservations via 19001100 and 19001800 (for Golden Lotus Plus members), customers can use local cards to pay on the firm’s website. In addition, customers can pay via internet banking or ATMs or pay directly at transaction counters of Techcombank and Vietcombank. — VNS
