Vietcombank general director appointed to be SBV deputy governor


General director of Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) Nguyen Phuoc Thanh was appointed as a deputy governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) from July 19, 2013, according to a prime ministerial decision.

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — General director of Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) Nguyen Phuoc Thanh was appointed as a deputy governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) from July 19, 2013, according to a prime ministerial decision.

Thanh, born in 1957, has 31 years of experience in the finance and banking sectors, having held key positions at SBV branches, Vietcombank and the Agriculture and Rural Development Bank.

The SBV is now headed by governor Nguyen Van Binh and his six deputies including DangThanh Binh, Nguyen Dong Tien, Nguyen Ton Thang, Le Minh Hung, Dao Minh Tu and Nguyen Phuoc Thanh. — VNS
