HANAVA (Biz Hub) — FIHAV 2015 Havana International Fair, the largest annual multi – sector trade fair in Havana, with participants from over 70 countries around the world including Viet Nam, was inaugurated on Monday.
Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz emphasised that the number of enterprises participating in the event was the highest in the past 15 years, according to reporter of Viet Nam News Agency in La Habana.
Diaz also said this fair proved the increasing attention and trust of the international community towards the Cuban market.
"Viet Nam Day" and the Cuba – Viet Nam business seminar will take place on November 3 and November 4, according to the official programme of the fair.
Diaz, who is also a chief organiser of FIHAV 2015, affirmed Cuba is now continuously engaged in trade exchanges followed by the proposed strategy, which also diversifies trade relations, especially in biotechnology and services.
FIHAV, the biggest annual trade event of Cuba, has been organised since 1982, and has significantly contributed to enhance the reputation of the Caribbean island in the international market in 33 years of its existence.
This year, the fair for the first time recognised the participation of the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Puerto Rico. — VNS
