Viet Nam is participating in the 36th India International Trade Fair, which opened in New Delhi on Monday.
The annual event, themed “Digital India,” is organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation.
More than 150 companies from 27 countries are selling products at nearly 7,000 pavilions in the fields of apparel, fine arts, handicrafts and health, as well as banking, food processing, telecommunication and home decoration, along with toys and consumer goods.
Viet Nam has three booths, mainly displaying traditional fine arts and handicrafts. Notably, two Vietnamese artisans have been invited by the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Ministry of Textiles to showcase their skills and share their experiences.
Bui Trung Thuong, first secretary and chief representative of the Viet Nam Trade Office in India, said the fair is a good opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to popularise their brand names to international friends.
The event, which ends on November 27, is expected to draw two million visitors. — VNS
