Vibev enters market with maiden products

The Vinamilk – Kido Beverage Joint Venture Company, Vibev, has launched its first products in the market, and aims to become the leader in the fresh beverages industry in five years’ time.

Vibev's first two products are Oh Fresh fresh corn milk and fresh mung bean milk, and they will be distributed through Vinamilk and KIDO’s channels comprising supermarkets, minimarts, convenient shops, stores, and restaurants.

Mai Xuan Tram, general director of the company, said the Vietnamese beverage market has grown at a steady 8-10 per cent in recent years, non-carbonated drinks at 10-12 per cent.

Vibev said after the two first products, it plans to introduce new ones with expiration dates of over 14 days.

Established earlier this year with an investment of VND400 billion, 51 per cent by Vinamilk and 49 per cent by KIDO Group, the company aims to become the leader in the non-carbonated beverages industry.

It seeks to take advantage of both partners’ distribution and storage systems, modern production lines and experienced human resources.— VNS
