HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Noi Bai and Da Nang international airports have been listed among the top 30 airports in Asia for their high quality of wi-fi services, lounges, facilities and other services.

The ranking by The Guide to Sleeping in Airports website is based on the overall airport experience of travellers covered in the 2015 airport survey.

Da Nang Airport in the central Da Nang City ranks 23rd, while Ha Noi's Noi Bai Airport ranks 28th on the list. Other airports include Singapore's Changi, Seoul's Incheon, Tokyo's Haneda and Taipei's Taoyuan airports, besides Hong Kong.

This is good news for Viet Nam's airline industry. In 2014, Noi Bai Airport was listed among the 10 worst airports in Asia.

The airport has since been upgraded and expanded. In particular, the international terminal T2 began operations in late 2014, with high-quality services that made passengers change their opinion about the airport.

Da Nang Airport was also listed among the world's top three in a Dragon Air survey of 96 airports being utilised by the firm.

Meanwhile, the website listed the HCM City-based Tan Son Nhat international airport among the worst airports because of its bad wi-fi service, dirty bathrooms and few restaurant options. The others on the list include airports in Kathmandu, Tashkent, Kabul and Islamabad. — VNS
