Tran Le Nguyen named chairman of TAC

HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Tran Le Nguyen has been appointed chairman of the Tuong An Vegetable Oil Joint Stock Company.

The appointment was made last week at a shareholders meeting after a 65 per cent stake in the company was sold to KDC at a price of VND78,000 per share.

TAC is one of the leading cooking oil producers in Viet Nam with an annual turnover of around VNĐ4 trillion.

It has two plants.

KDC has also bought a stake in another cooking oil company, Vocarimex, with the aim of becoming the biggest player in the industry.

Tran Le Nguyen is among the most successful entrepreneurs in Việt Nam, with, KIDO becoming the biggest confectionery producer in Viet Nam under his leadership.

He was the one who decided to buy an ice-cream plant from a multinational company and develop Kido ice-cream in the Vietnamese market.

He has also been successful in many acquisitions.

He has been conferred many awards by the Vietnamese and HCM City governments for his contributions to the development of the country and the city. — VNS
