Thái Nguyên to develop $163 million industrial park

HÀ NỘI — Deputy Prime Minister Trần Hồng Hà has signed Decision No.50/QĐ-TTg, approving the investment policy of the Yên Bình 3 Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business project in Thái Nguyên Province.

The project has been assigned to BMK Group Joint Stock Company, who will operate as the investor. It will span 295.3 hectares, with a total investment of VNĐ4.14 trillion (US$163 million), including nearly VNĐ621 billion in equity. 

The project is set to be implemented in Điềm Thụy and Nga My communes, Phú Bình District, covering a duration of 50 years.

Hà instructed the Ministry of Planning and Investment to be responsible for the assigned contents of appraising project investment policies and overseeing state management of industrial zones. 

The Thái Nguyên Provincial People's Committee was directed to ensure the project aligns with the provincial land-use plan for 2021–2030 and its vision for 2050, as approved by the competent authority. 

The committee must organise and implement procedures for land acquisition, compensation, resettlement, land-use conversion and leasing. It is required to guarantee that the project area is free from disputes or legal conflicts.

Additionally, the provincial authorities are responsible for converting rice farms and other agricultural lands in the project area to agricultural lands in compliance with land management laws. — VNS
