The Thai consulate in HCM City organised a blood donation event on December 4 to mark the birth anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the deceased former ruler.
This was the second time the consulate, in collaboration with the Viet Nam Red Cross Society’s HCM City Chapter and Thai Business Association in Viet Nam, organised the blood donation event this year, Wiraka Moodhitaporn, the consul general said.
It was part of charity activities to also celebrate Thailand’s National Day and Thai Father’s Day on December 5, she said.
A total of 154 units of blood were collected from 110 Thai and Vietnamese donors.
