Remittances to Viet Nam are likely to increase in 2019 because overseas Vietnamese people believe in the stability of the economy and see better investment opportunities.
The Government should offer incentives to projects funded by
overseas remittances, a conference on policies related to remittances
heard in HCM City on October 11.
Overseas remittances are now free from income tax, the State Bank of
Viet Nam has confirmed on its website, following government directions
to facilitate overseas Vietnamese sending money home.
