Viet Nam’s squid and octopus exports grew 6.5 per cent to bring back over US$48 million in June after a continuous decline in the three previous months.
Squid and octopus exports fell by 21.2 per cent year-on-year in the first five months of the year to US$192 million as demand was hit by COVID-19, according to the Viet Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers.
Total exports of squid and octopus from Viet Nam to the US reached US$ 9.7 million last year, up 94.7 per cent from 2016, reported the Viet Nam Association of Seafood Producers and Exporters (VASEP).
