The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has drafted a circular on rules and methods of collecting information and reporting market prices of some domestic goods and services.
The Ministry of Finance has asked people’s committees of provinces and cities under central administration to not increase the prices of goods and public services in the first quarter of 2018.
The Government should stipulate ceiling prices for essential goods such
as petroleum, oil and electricity for businesses which have a monopoly
in the market, thus preventing them from making their prices too
expensive for customers.
