On February 7, the banking sector’s outstanding loans fell by 0.38 per cent for the year, while overdue debts and non-performing loans showed signs of rising.
The total outstanding loans in Ha Noi was estimated at VND1.6 quadrillion (US$70 billion) in the first half of this year, according to the State Bank of Viet Nam’s Ha Noi branch.
Overdue debts at credit institutions in Ha Noi reached VND61.3 trillion
(US$2.9 billion), or 6.72 per cent of the total outstanding loans, by
the end of August, Hanoimoi online reported.
