Viettel Post reached an after-tax profit of VND54 billion (US$2.3 million) in the first quarter of the year, surging 68 per cent from the same period last year.
During the year, the company’s net revenue stood at VND42.3 trillion, an increase of nearly VND45 billion while cost of sales decreased from VND36.3 trillion to VND35.75 trillion.
Soi The Ky Joint Stock Company (STK) targets a revenue of over VND2.3 trillion (US$101 million), pre-tax profit of VND131 billion and after-tax profit of nearly VND126 billion in 2018.
The Viet Nam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) posted an after-tax profit of nearly VND10.3 trillion (US$452.5 million) last year, an increase of 9 per cent year-on-year.
Vietnam Railways (VNR) has targeted a revenue growth of over eight per cent on last year’s figure of VND8.17 trillion, Vu Anh Minh, the corporation’s chairman, said on January 20.
Bao Viet Group has announced total integrated revenue of some VND31.2 trillion (US$1.5 billion) in 2017, increasing 21.5 per cent from the previous year and surpassing eight per cent of its set target.
Hoa Phat Group recorded a revenue of over VND21 trillion (US$925 million) and an after-tax profit of VND3.47 trillion in the first half of 2017, a year-on-year increase of 36 per cent and 14 per cent, respectively.
"We have made continuous improvements to our existing product portfolio, developed new products, and simplified processes to provide competitive financial services and products to best meet customers’ needs,” the bank said in its statement.
The Dung Quat Oil Refinery earned nearly VND1.8 trillion (US$80.4 million) in after-tax profit in the first quarter of the year, achieving 30 per cent of its annual target.
Viet Nam Construction Import-Export Corporation (Vinaconex) posted after-tax profit of over VND670 trillion (US$350 million) last year, an increase of 28 per cent year-on-year.
