Opportunities to invest in exchange-traded funds (ETFs) were introduced
to investors yesterday by the Ha Noi Stock Exchange and FPT Securities
Company.
Viet Nam''s exchange-traded fund (ETF), VFMVN30, was officially listed on
Monday on the HCM City Stock Exchange, with about 20.2 million shares
valued at more than VND10,000 (US$0.47) each.
The fund certificates of Viet Nam''s first exchange-traded fund (ETF)
VFMVN30 will be listed from October 6, the HCM City Stock Exchange has
announced.
Over one month after launching its initial public offering, Viet Nam''s
first exchange-traded fund (ETF), VFMVN30, has begun attracting investor
interest.
Viet Nam''s first domestic exchange-traded fund (ETF), the VietFund
Management VN30 ETF, planned to list on the HCM City Stock Exchange by
mid September, fund Director Pham Khanh Lynh said.
Viet Nam''s first domestic exchange-traded fund, the VFMVN30 ETF,
attracted major interest right yesterday, the day it received the
licence for its initial public offering.
Fund manager VietFund Management is planning an initial public offering
for the country''s first domestic exchange-traded fund early in the third
quarter, providing investors with a low-cost investment channel to
expose to the attractive Vietnamese equity market.
