Việt Nam has become a key trading partner for Washington, the director of the US state’s Department of Agriculture, Derek Sandison, said during a visit to MM Mega Market An Phú in HCM City on Thursday.
Viet Nam considers the US among the most important and comprehensive trade partners, said deputy minister of industry and trade Do Thang Hai at the 2021 Viet Nam-US Trade Forum held yesterday in Ha Noi.
The relations between Viet Nam and the US would continue to grow stably in the future, with economic and trade cooperation the centre and key momentum of bilateral ties, Vietnamese and US officials said.
The Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR) on Friday issued a formal determination in the Viet Nam Currency Section 301 investigation, under which the agency will not take any tariff action against Viet Nam.
