The Viet Nam-Korea Techno Park Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (VKTP) has proposed to Dong Nai Province the investment and construction of Techno Park, a Viet Nam-South Korea high tech park project.
The Viet-Pan Techno Park in HCM City has served as a model for similar projects to lure foreign investors from Japan and other countries to the city, said Vice Standing Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem.
The HCM City industrial authority is pinning its hopes on the new
Vie-Pan Techno Park (VPTP) as the southern economic hub goes to great
lengths to accelerate its sluggish support industry.
To develop its supporting industries, HCM City needs to identify the
main sectors and focus on training, technology, and incentives for their
development, experts told a seminar on attracting investment in the
sectors last week.
HCM City''s export processing and industrial zones received US$243.5
million in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) during the first quarter of
2014, up 97.3 per cent from last year.
Business representatives from enterprises in Japan''s Ehime Prefecture,
headed by local Governor Tokihiro Nakamura, met with Vietnamese
entrepreneurs yesterday to seek business cooperation and investment
opportunities.
