Ford Vietnam has just announced the Safety Recall Programme to enhance windshield adhesion for 1,444 Ranger vehicles manufactured from January 9 to July 9, 2021.
Ford Ranger pickup trucks are being locally assembled at its facility in the northern province of Hai Duong and will be available for delivery on Thursday.
US auto maker, Ford Vietnam, has recently announced to gain a growth of 91 per cent in sale in the second quarter of this year, reaching 7,960 vehicles.
Ford Vietnam has announced record retail sales for a second consecutive month in December sales. It sold 3,959 vehicles, a 56 per cent year-on-year rise.
Ford said it achieved the highest ever monthly sales in Viet Nam last month - 3,466 units, representing an increase of nearly 44 per cent year-on-year.
Ford Viet Nam is recalling more than 17,000 Ranger pickup trucks and Fiesta cars to check and replace door lock control systems (not including back doors).
Pickup truck Ford Ranger has continued its success in the Asia Pacific in 2018 with sales increasing in the first six months by almost 9 per cent year-on-year to 69,103 units, Ford said.
