More than 106,300 new ".vn" domain names were registered in the first 11
months of this year, bringing the total number of ".vn" domain names to
343, 370, a year-on-year increase of 16.4 per cent, according to the
Viet Nam Internet Network Information...
Eleven out of 18 Internet providers have connected with the national
Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) network, after it came into operation
from May 6 last year.
Viet Nam is now 79th among the 258 countries using Internet protocol
version 6 (IPv6), said Nguyen Truong Thanh from the Viet Nam Internet
Network Information Centre (VNNIC) on Wednesday.
CMC Telecoms and FPT Telecoms have complained about the lack of
available IPv4 addresses, so they cannot attract new subscribers, saying
that the reserved addresses do not relate to current growth and the
broadband market share.
