A 240MW turbine built by GE Hydro Solutions passed an acceptance test at its hydraulic laboratory in Grenoble, France, marking a key milestone in the expansion of the Hoa Binh hyower plant under a contract between GE Hydro Solutions and Vietnam Electricity (EVN).
A concessional loan worth 70 million EUR (US$81 million) without government guarantee for the expanded Hòa Bình Hyower Plant Project was inked on Wednesday between the Vietnam Electricity (EVN) group and the French Development Agency (AFD).
The Hoa Binh hyower plant expansion project is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2020 and is expected to be completed in 2023. Currently, related units are rushing to complete the necessary procedures to implement the project.
