Many countries are increasing coal imports due to the increasing demand for production activities, especially thermal power, while hyower is facing difficulties.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry has asked the Government to allow
coal exports to solve inventories, said an official with the ministry''s
Power Department.
The Viet Nam National Coal and Mineral Industries
Group (Vinacomin) reported total revenue of VND15.7 trillion (US$737
million) during the first two months of 2015, vietnamplus.vn said.
The country''s energy sector witnessed a relatively high growth rate in
the initial two months of 2014 compared to the same period last year,
stated the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Viet Nam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin)''s coal
exports last month declined by 10 times over the previous month to
100,000 tonnes after a rise in export tax from 10 per cent to 13 per
cent in mid July.
