Breaking down the figures, agricultural products accounted for US$15.29 billion, up 16.3 per cent while livestock products totalled $217.2 milion, an 11.7 per cent increase.
The agricultural sector had seven groups of products recording an export turnover of over $1 billion in the first half of 2023, including coffee, rubber, rice, vegetables, cashew nuts, shrimp, and wood products.
Viet Nam made a trade surplus of US$3.39 billion in the first four months of 2018, in which foreign direct investment (FDI) sector, including fuel, took the lead with $11.17 billion.
Viet Nam''s exports of agricultural, forestry and fisheries products
reached US$1.78 billion in February, taking the sector''s total export
value in the first two months to $4.177 billion, a year-on-year decrease
of 1.9 per cent.
Viet Nam pocketed around US$2.39 billion from
agricultural and fish exports in September, according to the Ministry of
Agriculture and Rural Development.
