The National Assembly has adopted a resolution cancelling a project to build the Ninh Thuan nuclear power plant, said the Chairman of the Government Office, Mai Tien Dung, at a news conference yesterday.
Doosan Heavy Industries Viet Nam (Doosan Vina) has signed a contract to
fabricate and supply four tanks for the Korean 1,400Megawatt Shin Kori
Units 5 and 6 nuclear power plant.
Construction of Viet Nam''s first nuclear power plant may not begin this
year, as earlier scheduled, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen
Quan recently told the media.
Viet Nam and Russia worked together yesterday on how to speed up the
progress of building the first nuclear power plant in central Ninh Thuan
Province in 2014 as earlier scheduled.
