The management board of Masan Group has approved a plan to issue non-convertible international bonds worth up to US$300 million, the company announced in a filing to the State Securities Commission on December 13.
The Ministry of Finance successfully issued US$1 billion in
international bonds yesterday after holding roadshows across the world
from October 29 to November 5, according to the Ministry of Finance''s
website.
The Vietnamese Government has exempted international bonds issued in
2014 from income tax to make the country''s global sovereign bonds more
attractive to foreign investors.
Property developer VinGroup will issue an additional 15.3 million
shares worth VND153.3 billion (US$7.3 million) to convert international
bonds into shares in the last phase.
Viet Nam plans to issue new State bonds in international capital markets
for debt rescheduling, Government officials said at a recent meeting in
Ha Noi.
