A Vietcombank customer lost VND500 million (US$23,800) after someone
hacked into her bank account and withdrew money from an ATM in the
course of just one night.
The State Bank of Viet Nam has written to banks, credit institutions and
financial organisations, warning them against hackers a day after the
websites of Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat airports and Vietnam Airlines were
hacked.
An alleged Chinese hacker group carried out several cyberspace attacks
on Viet Nam''s two biggest airports and the official website of the
national flag-carrier Vietnam Airlines this afternoon.
While many Australian and US iPhone owners were hacked since the
beginning of this week, Vietnamese iPhone owners did not seem to be in
threat, experts reported.
