The world’s leading tobacco group Philip Morris International (PMI) wants to learn more about the strategic vision of Viet Nam’s Government for equitisation in the Viet Nam National Tobacco Corporation (Vinataba).
State-owned Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation (Vinataba) has registered to offload 8.4 million shares, or 51 per cent stake, of Hai Ha Confectionery after its share price hit an all-time high.
The central city has transferred 30 per cent of its stake, worth VND56.6
billion (US$2.7 million), to the Viet Nam Tobacco Corporation
(Vinataba) as part of an agreement.
The Viet Nam National Tobacco Corporation (Vinataba) plans to produce
36,000 tonnes of confectionery this year in a bid to increase its market
share in the domestic market.
